vendor profile: Something from Nothing

Something From Nothing began as a business based on circumstances, but soon transformed into one based on a lifestyle. Local artisan, Karen Boldt, has always lived a life of frugality, so it is only natural that her creative business took on this same persona. Upon entering several thrift stores in the area, she recognized an abundance of old wool sweaters and the need to find a new use for them. In 2009, she began her venture crafting these cast offs into soft and very warm mittens. These well-loved hand warmers for prairie winters soon made their debut at many trade shows in the area and because of their popularity, are now being made available to anyone with a mailing address through her Etsy shop! Something From Nothing mittens, available in sizes baby, children, and adult small, medium and large, are the perfect combination of eco-friendly materials with a trendy flair. They make great gifts for your shivering friends and relatives.

vendor profile: Naturally Pure

Naturally Pure was started with a desire and need for simple homemade soap, you know, the kind that isn't made of ingredients you can't pronounce. I am a stay-at-home mom of 3 and I started making my own bath and body products that was safe for sensitive skin. What began as a need for my own family, quickly became a favourite for many of our friends and their families too! Come on over to www.facebook.com/naturallypure and see for yourself the quality, care and workmanship that goes into making every soap and body product natural and unique.

vendor profile - Vinta Bella

Vinta Bella is passionate about making pretty things for you to fall in love with! I am always dreaming up new and unique items to make that will inspire you to decorate yourself (and your home) with lovely handmade items. My style is vintage inspired, floral, tea cups, birds and bows are common themes in all of my work. I make pretty things such as hair bows made from recycled fabrics, rare jewelry, cute hand painted cards, and dreamy floral canvas paintings. I'm excited to share my creations with the community and become more involved as a local artist. Feel free to take a look at my creations on my Facebook page: www.facebook.com/vintabellabycassie

Hi friends!
Our next creative night out will be on October 28th, starting at 7:30pm.
This time for a change we're going to leave the craft up to you! Bring whatever you've been working on lately, or a project you've been meaning to start. Got something you'd like to share with the group? We'd love to learn some new tricks.
As always, everyone is welcome to our creative night out - it's okay if you've never done a crafty thing in your life. These nights are filled with good people, conversation, and food (oh did I mention, you are welcome to bring food to share, it makes our evening more fun :)
Join us at Hiddenstitch on the 28th!
