Bitter Bun & Cannon Girl are two Saskatoon based sisters who have an avid interest in book binding and embroidery. Since 2011, they have been creating handbound books using a variety of binding techniques. As well, the sisters focus on upcycling in an effort to be environmentally conscious and to give new purpose to materials which would otherwise be discarded (e.g., damaged books, stationary, old notebooks, origami paper, etcetera). Bitter Bun and Cannon Girl have also begun to work in embroidery, creating charming and unconventional pieces with a vintage aesthetic. All embroideries are done with the sisters' original designs.
When Bitter Bun and Cannon Girl are not stitching books or canvas, they are enjoying bike rides across the city, watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and taking long walks on the beach. But not with each other. That would be weird.
