Vendor Profile: Boolah Baguette
Hello, my name is Erin, and I am the maker behind Boolah Baguette. My imagination works overtime to create detailed plush dolls, tiny elves, and beautifully soft animals. I enjoy picking out the cutest prints to use when making children's underwear, and use my own illustrated fabric for zippered pouches and other fun projects. I love textiles, color, polka dots, and designing products that feel happy. I work here in Saskatoon where I live with my lovely family.

Vendor Profile: Boolah Baguette
Hi! My name is Erin, and I live and work here in Saskatoon creating plush dolls, animals, and other sewn goodies. My work is the product of my overactive imagination and my hands that are always itching to make something. I love creating with soft, colorful fabrics, making them into creatures that are loved by both children and adults. Each piece is one of a kind, made from my own patterns and textile experimentation. I am passionate about the creative process and being able to do what I love as a job - taking all my ideas and making them into something you can play with!

Springtime Handmade Market Vendor Profile: Boolah Baguette
I believe in good toys. Ones that are made with love and soft fluffy fabrics, and ones that, certainly, aren't just meant for kids. I think, no - i know, that seeing cute things can make you happier, and that polka dots, stripes, and plaid are the perfect combination. I love making house-trained little animals and button-nose little dolls and getting to put my imagination (which runs non.stop) to good use.
Come and see my selection of new dolls, children's undies, and other plush goodies. As always, thank you so very much for supporting handmade!

Spring Market Vendor Profile: Boolah Baguette
I make dolls. Stripey ones and woolen ones, and dolls that look like beardy men and sloths and elephants. I cut out pieces and fit them all together with my two kids making forts under my sewing desk, and I crochet little scarves and hats into the evening. I'm a big fan of wonderful, imaginative toys for kids that they can sleep with and love and pull around by the leg. But are you an adult and you love cute things too? It's okay, you're more than allowed (Isn't it the best?)
See you at the show!

oh hello there! my name is erin and i make dolls and soft toys. boolah baguette is the product of a love for textiles + my overactive imagination... i make each of these dolls by hand, carefully considering what they will wear and the color of their shoelaces. i love the strange and wonderful personalities these dolls seem to have, and i also love that they might just end up in homes where they make people smile. thanks for supporting handmade this christmas!

Photography coffee night round up!
We love our Erin (how could we not!) and so we were quite thrilled to have her host our September coffee night and give us all some insight into her creative photography process. She's got quite the eye and knowledge when it comes to how to best photography your product for online sales (etsy, etc.) or just beautiful, fun and unique product shots.
Thanks so much Erin!
Got any ideas for our next coffee night? Would you like to be a presenter?
f&g are always looking for members of the community to share their knowledge and experience on anything craft related. These are super low key, relaxed events. Nothing to stress about. But a great experience for everyone. Please drop us a line is you think you could help us out with a coffee night!

A few more pics and a massive THANK YOU!!!

What a weekend! In a a whirlwind of handmade excellence the flock & gather Winter Wonders Handmade Market has come and gone. Hours of volunteer work well spent, satisfied customers, happy vendors, and an ecstatic yet exhausted flock & gather crew. Many many thanks to everyone who participated and made this event incredible. And a special thanks to all of the lovely husbands of the f & g crew, who not only put up with months of neglect due to all the volunteer hours we all put in to pull this together, but also because of their hard work at the show and behind the scenes.
Here's a few more pics from the market on saturday, including a few booths that got accidentally overlooked in Friday's epic post.

A HUGE congrats to Uncle Mike who is now also known as Daddy Mike!

Winter Wonders Artisan Profile - Boolah Baguette
One of the hard workers behind the scenes of flock & gather is boolah baguette ... aka the lovely and incomparable Erin Weiss! She's been working away to not only bring you the Winter Wonders Handmade Market, but she's been busy in her own studio as well!
In her words:Here is my little in-home studio where I cut and sew, fill the shelves with colorful fabrics, and think of new things to create.
In this room I get to put aside all of my adult responsibilities (well, sort of) and let my imagination take over while I make these playful creatures. I am inspired by bold patterns, color, my kids, and sunny days. I love watching these one of a kind creatures evolve as I make them - almost as much as I love watching people choose the one that they get to take home.
For our Christmas sale, I will have all new dolls and creatures as well as some all-natural wool mini dolls. Also, baby booties from sizes 0-24months.

Find her this weekend at the Winter Wonders Handmade Market and the rest of the year online in her etsy shop.
