ReMadeGoods are 100% crafted from foraged and found materials. The latest ReMadeGoods have been assembled with Saskatchewan drift wood, raw unbleached roving wool, copper scraps, wood shavings, unwanted sweaters and dried organic materials such as prairie sage, grass and wheat. With a focus on natural materials, neutral tones and warm winter textures the current collection of ReMadeGoods brings modern macrame and woven fiber art to the walls of Saskatoon.

Vendor Profile: Oneiro Designs

Oneiro (pronounced oh-nair-oh) comes from the word oneirology- the study of dreams.  

Oneiro was a passion project born from a quarter life crisis 3 years ago. Owner and Designer Alissa Ramage just finished a degree in Microbiology and knew something was missing from her life. She made her first art installation in the form of a wall hanging and gave it to a friend. From there this triggered her passion for art and her creative energy was reignited which was repressed for so long.  

Today Oneiro is an up-and-coming jewelry line and specializes in crystals and brass chain. These pieces can be anything from a simple set of earrings to an elaborate statement necklace with a variety of stone beads and pendants. Oneiro truly believes in the power of the crystals and that some of the pieces can impact the wearer with an energy unique to each stone.  

Oneiro's latest collection, Riddles in the Sand will be featured at the Flock and Gather along with a special collection of wall hangings.

Springtime Handmade Market Vendor Profile: Bitter Bun & Canon Girl

 

Bitter Bun & Cannon Girl are two Saskatoon based sisters who have an avid interest in book binding and embroidery. Since 2011, they have been creating handbound books using a variety of binding techniques and upcycled materials in an effort to be environmentally conscious and to give new purpose to materials which would otherwise be discarded (e.g., damaged books, stationary, old notebooks, origami paper, etcetera). Bitter Bun and Cannon Girl have also begun to work in embroidery, creating charming and unconventional pieces with a vintage aesthetic. All embroideries are done with the sisters' original designs.

Winter Wonders Artisan Profile: Erika Folnovic

Who is Erika Folnovic? She is a graduate of the U of R (BEd in Visual Art, BA in Visual Art), a quirky prairie girl, and a lover of handmade products. Erika has shifted gears recently from jewelry to fabric arts and couldn't be happier. Erika finds her inspiration from the various secondhand materials she uses for her stuffed animals, mobiles, and embroidery hoop monsters. With fabrics from garage sales, buttons from thrift shops, among other materials, she builds highly unique and extremely cute work that is sure to put a smile on your face. She looks forward to selling her work for the second time with Flock and Gather.
