Shauna Buck and Walden Sweet rock the new poster!

I immediately fell in love with Erin's gorgeous poster for our February sale, it was so exciting to see it up around town everywhere. And now it's time to keep your eyes peeled for our April's Market poster. Shauna rocked with the design on this one, so gorgeous, so spring. And thanks to Walden Sweet for all the printing tech. All I can say is wow!

And a few words from Walden Sweet:
There is nothing quite like a hand printed poster. We took a few photos while we were printing the posters today. Shauna Buck's lovely design was perfectly suited to screen printing. Keep an eye out for them all over town this week! A very limited number of posters will be made available for purchase at the market if you would like a collectible from the event. We hope to see you next Saturday.

Artist Profile: Chelley Rae

And last but never least - since you can never have too much cuteness at a f&g market we are pleased to welcome Chelley Rae's collection to the event.

In her words:
I Grew up in a home where, creating art was important, It was how my mother made her living. We had a Ceramic/Art studio in the basement of our home. I began selling my hand crafted items about 18 years ago in a shop that my mom owned for 13 years, she has now retired........but I still felt the need to create so about 2 years ago I created ChellyRae. Over the years I have worked with many different types of materials, Ceramic, clay, floral, wood, current obsession is Felt and Fabrics! I love to create and I create what I love!
I currently live in Saskatoon with my husband and two daughters (who also love to create art)
In addition to creating art.... I also work part time as an Educational Assistant.

Well that covers it for invited guests. You'll also find the f&g members and their wares at the market. Want a refresher of who the collective is? Check out our profile pages here:

Artist Profile: Kristina Johnson of Quirks & Twists

Flock and gather collective is pleased to introduce Kristina Johnson of Quirks & Twists who who will be showcasing her Vintage inspired jewelery at the April 30th market.

In her words:
I am a local independent artist who creates unique handcrafted jewelry using reclaimed vintage pieces, metals, gemstones, glass and whatever else comes my way.

I have always been drawn to handmade art; I’ve been crafting and making things since childhood – one of my earliest memories is painting with my grandma. I am self-taught and have been designing and making jewelry since 2003. I started with the basics and quickly discovered my love for beads, beads and more beads! My styles have changed over the years and I am now primarily working with vintage pieces which I combine with new materials resulting in one-of-a-kind pieces.

Artist Profile: Ricki Skoretz aka Sidecar Creations

You've probably seen the amazingness known only as sidecar creations around town lately. Most of flock and gather collective had the pleasure of meeting her at last year's CFCR Craft Sale. We can't wait to see what she has in store for the April f&g market!!

Ricki Skoretz is a crafty kitten originally hailing from Edmonton, Alberta. She moved to Saskatoon about 5 years ago. She is working hard to become an Arts and Crafts maven, and is apprenticing as an upholsterer, because the things you sit on should be beautiful. She is rarely seen without a smile, and shares her life with her fiancee Tyler and adorable dog, Neko. All of her creations are made with much love and care, and are inspired by the world around her.

Returning Market Participant: Mike Zimmer of Uncle Mike's

Once again we are please to have Uncle Mike's joining us for our flock and gather sale.

Please have a peek at the profile we did of him back in February.

Mike Zimmer
Uncle Mike's All Natural Products

Artist Profile : Jessica Wynne Designs

The members of flock and gather collective are pleased to have Jessica Wynne Designs joining us for our April 30th Market. We can't wait to see these amazing designs in person!

I am 26 years old, married and originally from Prince Albert. I am a full-time registered massage therapist so I do a lot of work with my hands! I love to read and be outside, and have a special interest in photography as well. I have been making jewellery for as long as I can remember, and within the last year I have begun to focus on metal work. Copper is my medium of choice, and I love colourful beads and stones. I am so excited to be a part of the Flock and Gather market!
