Spring Market Artisan Profile: Remnant

Remnant is a team of prairie girls who design, cut, and fabricate steel!

We create decor, house signs and functional furnishings, almost anything that helps you express something about who you are!

Perhaps a unique number plaque for your home, a cute bookend for a growing collection of stories, or a map that reminds you of all the places you've been or have yet to go.

Much like the pieces we create, we are a part of something much bigger. We are about possibilities in design, in creative conception and in relationships!

Spring Market Artisan Profile: Prairie Blossoms

With the middle name of "Rose" it's no wonder I love to create feminine jewelry and accessories with a floral influence. I have so much fun designing pieces that are bright, cheerful, and whimsical. You'll often find little birds, romantic bows and sparkly stones incorporated into my creations.

And lets not forget the pretty blossoms of all types and colors! Living on the prairies with our long, cold winters I hope my pieces bring a little sunshine and joy to the day. Everything is always in full bloom at Prairie Blossoms-and that puts a smile in my heart!

Calling all crafters - apply now for the flock & gather spring market!

Building off of the success of the Winter Wonders Holiday Market, members of the Flock and Gather collective are wasting no time and have already begun the planning of our next amazing market!

We are currently seeking applications for vendors for our spring market. We strongly encourage anyone who may be interested in participating to submit an application online.

Want more info about who we are and what we do?
Check out the Flock and Gather blog at http://flockandgather.blogspot.com/ for more information about the collective, the market application, as well as photos and information from previous sales.

How do the Flock and Gather review applications?
Each applicant is reviewed for craftsmanship, creativity, originality, type of craft, and product fit. Please note that all work must be original and handmade by the artist.

How do I know if my items are suitable for this event?
We are looking for high quality, unique, innovative craft.

When and where is the market?
St. Joseph's Parish Hall (corner of Broadway Avenue and 8th Street) Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Friday April 13th (6:00PM – 9:00PM) Saturday April 14th (10:00AM – 5:00PM)

How much will it cost me and what do I get?
The table fee will be $70, payable upon acceptance. Each vendor will get one 8'-0” x 2'-6” table and 1 chair (approximately 10'-0” x 7'-0” of space)

When is the application deadline?
The application deadline is Thursday March 1st although we encourage you to apply early.

When can I expect to find out about my application?
We appreciate everyone needs time to prepare and plan. All applications will be reviewed and you will be notified by March 12th.

If I was a vendor at a previous market do I need to re-apply?
Yes you do. Because we chose each participant in relation to other applicants (ie: we try not to have too many of one particular medium) it is not a guarantee that you will be accepted because you participated previously. We have a limited amount of space and we do our best to represent amazing craft and to provide equal opportunity for everyone.

How can I apply to be a Vendor?
Please fill out the application form below and email Carole Epp at caroleepp@yahoo.ca

Winter Wonders Artisan Profile - Angel Neufield

Bringing even more awesome kids stuff to the flock & gather market is Angel Neufield!

Creations from customized scrapbooks and greeting cards to tutus, hair accessories and purses I love to craft it all. Everything I sell is handmade by me and can be made customized to suit your styles and needs, making it unique and a one of a kind. Setting up jewelery and craft stands from the time I was ten years old, handcrafting my own creations has always been my passion, and now with a two year old daughter she is my inspiration for turning my passion into my dream, little steps at a time.

With a business name and website as a work in progress you can reach me at angel.neufield@shaw.ca and (306) 612-1132.

Shauna Buck and Walden Sweet rock the new poster!

I immediately fell in love with Erin's gorgeous poster for our February sale, it was so exciting to see it up around town everywhere. And now it's time to keep your eyes peeled for our April's Market poster. Shauna rocked with the design on this one, so gorgeous, so spring. And thanks to Walden Sweet for all the printing tech. All I can say is wow!

And a few words from Walden Sweet:
There is nothing quite like a hand printed poster. We took a few photos while we were printing the posters today. Shauna Buck's lovely design was perfectly suited to screen printing. Keep an eye out for them all over town this week! A very limited number of posters will be made available for purchase at the market if you would like a collectible from the event. We hope to see you next Saturday.
