Winter Wonders Artisan Profile: Paula Cooley



Paula Cooley is a ceramics artist living in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She has degree in ceramics from SIAST and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the University of Saskatchewan and has been been working full-time in clay since 1999.  


Paula uses wheel-throwing, hand-building, and various glazing and firing techniques, ranging from raku to wood firing to create her distinctive pieces. Her artistic practice, which takes inspiration from the natural world, includes functional and sculptural work, both of which influence and inform each other.

Paula Cooley is a full-time ceramics artist living in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She has degree in ceramics from SIAST and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the University of Saskatchewan and has been been a practicing potter since 1999.
