Walden Sweet Design was borne from a love of home and a passion for handmade goods. Our screen printed textiles are lovingly hand sewn and screen printed in our small studio in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. We make pillowcases, hankies, tea towels, and other assorted functional textiles with designs inspired by our love for pattern and nature. We use the finest quality fabrics and water based inks to ensure you will enjoy your purchase for a long time to come. We strive to make cozy relaxed products that we hope will find a comfortable spot in your home.

Springtime Handmade Market Vendor Profile: Walden Sweet Design

Well here we are!

With our feet planted on the ground, consuming plenty of coffee and having numerous conversations about our love and appreciation for handmade goods. We are the Walden Sweet Design.

Our free time is spent dreaming, designing, sewing, and printing. When we are not doing this we are bike riding, camping, and spending time with our two cats, Ninja and Jackson!

We make screen printed posters, pillowcases, hankies, and kitty toys.

Hi. We are Dana Mastel and Wayne Jorgenson, and we are Walden Sweet.

 

 

It all started with one screen printing class at Emily Carr Institute and we were hooked. As anyone who has screen printed will tell you it is alternately infuriating and exhilarating, often within moments of one another. We have chased those exhilarating moments since, printing on most anything we can find.

 

These days we are focusing on limited edition posters and screen printed fabric households items. We really enjoyed making them and hope you'll enjoy them too!
