Vendor Profile: Melissa Squire







Melissa Squire, a Saskatoon based fashion designer described as "badass pretty", is a 1950's pinup inspired brand with an edgy, rockabilly attitude. Using unique details, colors, prints, and accessories, Melissa Squire is the perfect balance of Buttons, Bows and Bones to make a good girl feel a little bad, or a bad girl to feel a little good! Eco friendly bamboo and organic cottons as well as Upcycled materials, tire and records are prevailant throughout the line with sustainability being very a important part of her business.

Melissa makes everything from custom bridal gowns and baby dresses to mens vests, bathing suits and accessories. The line also includes funky knitware, top hats, bow ties, jewelry and accessories made from recycled tire, old vinyl records and . She works with vintage skeleton keys, fish leather making belts and cuffs. Flower hair pieces, fascinators, and decorated birdcage veils and garters are among her collection of accessories. Custom designs are available on all her work. Vendor Profile: Work + Shop Boutique







Work + Shop Boutique is a design company dedicated to producing handmade goods with recycled and organic fabrics. Designer Kelly Cairns grew up on a southern Saskatchewan farm and has lived in Vancouver and travelled extensively in Europe, developing her sewing and screen printing skills. In her time as a nomad, she has come to appreciate the values that make Saskatchewan great: respecting the land and reusing materials in creative ways. She happily incorporates her love for the prairies into her designs while remaining true to her own love of all things counter cultural.

Vendor Profile: Rebecca King Fashion








Saskatoon's resident fashion designer Rebecca King began “fashionably battling Canada's cold front in 2005 with her eponymous line of textured jackets, sweaters and dresses” (FASHION Magazine, Nov 2014). Modern, textured and earth toned, each of King's well crafted garments is practical without sacrificing any of its chicness. King recently returned to Saskatoon after spending several years in Calgary, where the designer garnered accolades and attention at the national level and was named a Mercedes-Benz Startup Top 20 Emerging Canadian Designer. Rebecca King is a Canadian fashion designer, who began working in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 2005. Her REBECCA KING label focuses on tailored women’s coats and casual wear. Her garments can be found in boutiques and tradeshows across Western Canada. In an industry dominated by overseas production, Rebecca strives to maintain a strong local presence in Canadian fashion. All of her garments are made in Saskatchewan and Alberta using materials from North America.

Rebecca King was named a Mercedes-Benz Startup Top 20 Emerging Canadian Designer in 2012 and 2013.

Spring Market Artisan Profile: Sabrina Butterfly Designs



Naturally comfortable women's clothing, best describes the Sabrina Butterfly Designs collection.
Sabrina Butterfly O'Donnell, created her first collection in the fall of 1998, a year after receiving a diploma for Fashion Design.



Over the course of nine years, she took her line on the road, showcasing her line locally and within Canada.

In September 2007, the collection became an in house line in the Sabrina Butterfly boutique, located in Edmonton, AB, complimenting the likes of many other designers from around the globe.


Sabrina designs for the naturally comfortable women, creating timeless designs and playing with design concepts that are flattering for many body types.


The line is unique as all pieces are machine washable and easy to care for. Using many natural fibres including: Cotton, Linen, Rayon, Bamboo, Hemp, Tencel, often blended with lycra or spandex to create a relaxed fit.
