Shannon Welch first started taking silversmithing classes ten years ago in Victoria, BC. Since then she has pursued opportunities to learn more about her craft and has been fortunate to learn from many talented metal workers.
This year she is on a deferred salary leave from her other life as a full-time high school teacher, allowing her to pursue her jewelry-making full time. This has proven to be a bit of a blow for her husband who thought she would spend her time making him dinner.
Her work is also sold through the Stall Gallery and Absalom Hair (323 6th Ave North) in Saskatoon.
