vendor profile: Van Charles Art
To date my body of work narrates an authentic adventure through the Canadian wilderness. Equipped with a backpack and a camera, I travel to the deepest points of the Canadian backcountry to capture images of nature that will later be digitally collaged, applied to hand crafted wooden supports and detailed with acrylic paint.

Springtime Handmade Market Vendor Profile: Van Charles Art
From the most barren yellow plains of the prairies to the highest peaks of the rockies, Canada’s diverse landscape presents it’s brave visitors with a lasting reward; a moment in time where your breath stops and the one to follow is like your first. As an artist, I seek to immortalize this experience and foster the viewers appreciation for the natural environment. Winter Wonders Artisan Profile: Van Charles Art
The artwork is created from images I've taken while travelling Canada's
wonderfully varied landscape, it's backcountry, valleys, prairies and
alpine. Our own backyard is one of the most beautiful places on earth,
my goal is to share with you these places through my work which will
serve as a constant reminder, inspiring you to get out there, appreciate
and explore these places yourself. Ultimately this artwork will serve
as a reminder of the limited wild space we have left and the importance
of protecting these places.
I believe to stand in front of a piece of art should be an experience no less exhilarating than the journey taken to capture that image.
