Vendor Profile: Willow & Wheat

Willow & Wheat started out of my love for fun, fresh prints for baby blankets for my 2 little boys. I had a hard time finding nice, modern prints for baby boys so I took matters into my own hands!

I am a stay at home mom and this allows me to have a creative outlet while spending time with my boys. I have added bibs, teething rings and other items and will continue to add new products in the future.

Winter Wonder Artisan Profile: Wee Bobbin

Wee Bobbin is two sisters, Laura and Katie, from Saskatoon. Our interest in sewing really took off when Laura's first baby was born almost five years ago. Since then three more babies have arrived, and we've made more blankets and bibs than we can count! We now sew a variety of cute items for little people, and we hope you'll enjoy them as much as we do.

Spring Market Artisan Profile: Just So and Mimi & Lala

Natasha Just of Just So has been playing with fabric since she was a little girl, learning on her grandmother’s vintage sewing machine. For the past ten years she’s focused this passion on quilting; combining fabrics in both traditional quilt patterns and patterns that she designed. Since becoming a mom nine months ago, Natasha has turned her focus to creating baby blankets with colourful fabrics that inspire her.

Just So is proud to team up with Bonnie Thiessen of Mimi & Lala. Bonnie grew up sewing clothes for her dolls, and later, herself. Now that she has her own real live doll to make clothes for she was surprised to find a lack of attractive quality footwear. Her daughter now rips up the floor in beautiful handcrafted shoes with truly soft soles that allow little feet to develop properly. The next best thing to bare feet, these shoes and boots will complete any outfit.

We are pleased to share these with you, and hope you will enjoy them as much as we have!
