Vendor Profile: Mimi & Lala

My mom taught me to sew, and I grew up making things I loved. Now I sew things my little girl loves. It all started with shoes (doesn't it always?) when she was 1 month old. My shoes and boots are made with soft fabrics so as not to bind little feet as they grow and develop. 3 years later, and I still love to create things that make her smile!

Vendor Profile: Just Sewing

I began playing with fabric on my grandmother’s sewing machine when I was a little girl and still use this vintage machine today. For over ten years I have been passionate about quitting—combining fabrics in traditional and modern patterns. After becoming a mother, I began sewing one-of-a-kind baby blankets with colourful, inspiring fabrics. Nursery sets are available, including crib sheets, change pad covers and blankets in coordinating fabrics. Remnant fabric is used to create smaller items such as bandana bibs and mittens for babies/toddlers and lavender-scented eye pillows for mamas who need to relax. Finding creative ways to minimize unused material is one the of the most challenging joys of the business. I believe that fabric is inspiring and a powerful design tool. Whether it's a baby blanket in a nursery, a mini quilt hanging on the wall, a cushion on your favourite chair, a tea towel hanging on the oven handle, or a quilt thrown over the back of the couch, fabrics bring life to our homes. I only hope to share my love of fabrics and all that they can create.

Vendor Profile: Willow & Wheat

Willow & Wheat started out of my love for fun, fresh prints for baby blankets for my 2 little boys. I had a hard time finding nice, modern prints for baby boys so I took matters into my own hands! I am a stay at home mom and this allows me to have a creative outlet while spending time with my boys. I have since added bibs, teething rings and other items and am continually coming up with new and fresh ideas! willowandwheat.etsy.com Instagram: @willowandwheat

Vendor Profile: Missy Bobbin

Missy Bobbin was born out of a love for sewing, creativity and my incredible kids! I am motivated by my desire to show them that they can do anything and that hard work and motivation can go a long way.

My experience as a graphic designer has enabled me to create custom designed fabrics that are unique only to the Missy Bobbin line and my background as a photographer has enabled me to capture it all for your eyes to see!

All of the clothing in the shop is handmade by me and is sewn with fabric printed using water-based inks & dyes. I choose only the best quality fabrics and use natural fibres whenever possible.

I hope you enjoy the products at Missy Bobbin as much as I enjoy creating them for you!

Natasha Just of Just Sewing began playing with fabric on her grandmother’s sewing machine when she was a little girl and still uses this vintage machine today. For over ten years she has been passionate about quilting--combining fabrics in both traditional and modern patterns. After becoming a mother, she began sewing one-of-a-kind baby blankets with colourful, inspiring fabrics. Both pre-made and custom nursery sets are available, including crib sheets, change pad covers and blankets in coordinating fabrics. Remnant fabric is used to create smaller items such as toys and bandana bibs for babies and toddlers, and lavender-scented eye pillows for mamas who need to relax. Diaper inserts for cloth diapers made from hemp/organic cotton fabric are also available. Finding creative ways to minimize unused material is one of the most challenging joys of her business. Just Sewing has recently acquired a large-scale quilting machine and both full-size and mini quilts will soon be available. Natasha is currently working on finding new ways to incorporate quilting into many of her products.
