Hey! My name is Savannah Pinsent. By day, I am a courier and I craft every single spare moment I get. I work under the name "Swish and Craft" The word "swish" is a word that my mom and her friend made up when they were in elementary school. Swishing means relaxing and taking time for yourself, in my case it is usually with a thread in needle in my hand, in oversized PJ's with my two teeny chihuahuas, Todd and Daryl and watching horrible reality TV. I have been doing embroidery for a few years now. I recently started taking sewing classes as well and hope to learn some new skills to put my embroidery on (as if my craft room wasn't full enough already...) My embroidery work generally showcases my sassy and sometimes sarcastic attitude. I really like to make people laugh and I think that is something I achieve through my hoop art! Along with embroidery, I also sell handmade polymer clay magnets of junk food and other little goodies that I make a long the way. I have been lucky enough to do a couple of Flock and Gather's shows in the past and it is always so lovely to see all your faces and be part of the crafty community here in Saskatoon! My name is Savannah Pinsent and I work under the name Swish & Craft. The word "Swish" was created by my mom and her friend when they were in elementary school and it loosely translates to relaxing and taking time for yourself. Swishing is what I am doing while I am crafting. I have experimented with a lot of different creative mediums over my 28 years but, embroidery is what has always stuck with me the most. I have always said that there is so much beauty in the world that I didn't know what to do with my hands, but I think I finally found something to keep them busy. My hoop art showcases my quirky sense of humor or is a modern spin on age old affirmations. I also make polymer clay magnets of tiny junk food & a rotation of other little goodies that I feel so lucky to get to share with the lovely people of Saskatoon. My name is Savannah Mae and I work under the name Swish & Craft, the word "Swish" was created by my mom and her friend when they were younger and it became interchangeable with the word, "relaxing" or just generally taking time for yourself. Swishing is essentially what I am doing while I am crafting. I create my hoop art while swished on my couch & marathon-ing really bad t.v. I am not going to lie, the majority of the hoop art for this show was made while watching an embarrassing amount of Keeping up with the Kardashians. I have explored a wide variety of creative mediums during my 28 years, but, embroidery was what has stuck with me the most. My embroidery work showcases my sassy sense of humor through sayings and imagery that are easily relatable or it is a modern spin on positive affirmations. I always said that there was so much beauty in the world that I didn't know what to do with my hands, but I think I finally figured it out, and I am grateful that I get to share it with the lovely people of Saskatoon.

Which is essentially what I do while I am crafting. The majority of my work is created while I am marathon-ing bad t.v. shows in my sweats. I have explored all types of creative mediums, but embroidery is what has stuck with me the most. My embroidery work showcases my quirky sense of humor through quotes and imagery that is easily relatable or a modern spin on positive affirmations. As my friend Serah would say, "You make things that people hang up in their homes and incorporate into their lives which is, like, so cool." To put it simply, that is my goal with my hoop art.
