Winter Wonders Artisan Profile - Glassy-Eyed Beads

flock & gather are pleased to have Erin Pell of Glassy-Eyed Beads at December's Winter Wonders Handmade Market.

Erin has been working with glass since 1999, she began studying glass blowing with Mark Chapman in Palm Springs, CA. While working with Mark she began playing with a torch to make glass beads. When she had her children she focused solely on the glass beads and pendants. Her pieces of wearable art have been sold through galleries throughout Canada.



Erin was born in New Brunswick, but grew up mainly in the Muskoka area of Ontario. She has also spent time living in Mexico and Finland. Both her parents were involved in the fine craft community in Ontario. Erin grew up working at craft shows with her parents, and experimented with many craft mediums. She moved down to California in 1999 with her parents and met her future husband there. Since then, she has set up shop in New Brunswick and now Saskatoon, SK.
