Vendor Profile: CMB Print Works

Caitlin Bodewitz of CMB Print Works explores a juxtaposition of nature versus geometry through mixed-media printmaking on canadian-sourced birch wood. Bodewitz's unique upbringing in an isolated mountain community in northern BC, called Azu Village of the Pine Pass, influenced her to pursue her Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours in Printmaking at the University of Calgary. Bodewitz pushes the boundaries of traditional silkscreening by incorporating it with photo-transfers, drawings, and wood portraying images of Canada's beautiful wilderness and animals. All of her themes, materials, and processes reflect a conscious effort to be environmentally-mindful while exploring the land we walk.

Winter Wonders Artisan Profile: Walden Sweet

Well here we are!
With our feet planted on the ground, consuming plenty of coffee and having numerous conversations over and about our love and appreciation for handmade markets and vendors. We are the Walden Sweet.

Our free time is spent dreaming, designing, sewing, and printing. When we are not doing this we are bike riding, camping, and spending time with our two cats, Ninja and Jackson!
Our wares include screen printed posters, pillowcases, hankies, and kitty toys!
We look forward to the Winter Wonders Market, listening to music, eating, tending our goods, spending quality time with our friends and of course welcoming you!

Spring Market Artisan Profile: Walden Sweet Design

We love to make pretty things. We love to screen print. What could be better than that.

"I took a shower washing every body part with actual soap; including all my major crevices; including in between my toes and in my belly button, which I never did before but sort of enjoyed. I washed my hair with adult formula shampoo and used cream rinse for that just washed shine. I can't seem to find my toothbrush, so I'll pick one up when I go out today. Other than that, I'm in good shape."
