Vendor Profile: Birch Artisan Studio
Following my creative passion I recently launched a line of handmade wood and semiprecious stone jewelry, Birch Artisan Studio - some of you know as just Birch!
My wood jewelry is cut, sanded, sized, set and finished by hand, each piece selected for its unique grain or pattern. The birch wood pieces are harvested just north of Saskatoon from standing dead fall (no cutting down of live trees!) that I collect on hiking trips. The exotic hardwood come from up-cycling from other wood projects and donated from other artisans or purchased if necessary from companies that support sustainably managed forests. The environment is very important to me so I'm doing my best to participate in its protection!
I weave all my semiprecious wrap bracelets by hand, set all my own stones and fasten and finish every piece. I recently started learning wire wrapping so you’ll find an assortment of dainty little wire-wrapped rings available!

vendor profile: Made By Andi
As a full-time business educator over at The Dream Job Shop, one of my favourite passions is to be able to create jewelry and accessories with my own two hands.
Originally I started my creative journey making handbags full-time from vintage leather jackets. But after sewing over 2,000 bags, my motivation level decided that it might be time to try something new.
At that point, I began to play with jewelry and instantly fell in love. I love the idea of creating pieces that delicately enhance the wearer, versus take all the attention away from them - for that reason my designs focus on simplicity. I'm also really inspired by the colour turquoise and how it compliments brass so nicely - I'm ever exploring new ways that this pairing can help me express my ideas.
I don't think I'll ever fully get away from sewing and textiles. I like to think it's in my blood at this point and makes up the core of who I am. I really love to create simple clutches with bold pattern choices and leather accents. These are easy for women to carry as an accent at parties, or throw in a bigger bag to help organize their stuff.
Having the ability to create jewelry and accessories helps me to explore my passion and balance everything out. And although I now spend my days over at The Dream Job shop helping other creative business owners learn the business side of things, I'll never be able to put away the creative side of my own journey.

vendor profile: Oneiro

Oneiro (pronounced oh-nair-oh) comes from the word oneirology, which is the study of dreams. My business specializes in handcrafted contemporary dreamcatchers and jewelry, which consists mostly of crystals and chain that can adorn any part of your body. From body chains, headpieces, necklaces to earrings, name a body part and I've made a piece of jewelry for it. My recent obsession with learning the energy powers of different crystals has added another element to my jewelry and my dreamcatchers. Each dreamcatcher is made with found objects, reclaimed materials, antique lace and a whole lot of love. Whether you’re looking for jewelry to create a statement for your outfit, a dreamcatcher to keep above your bed or gift to someone special, it’s a pleasure to see anything I make appreciated as a gift or a personal treat.
